Aspect Ratios - Component 1

 For my film opening, I decided to use two different aspect ratios to depict different worlds.

2.35:1
&
2.55:1

2.35:1 is used during scenes in reality, whereas 2.55:1 is used during scenes in the dream/false flashback. I used a tighter frame during the dream/false flashback to reinforce the idea that The Man is thinking about this situation; that the situation is 'boxed' in his head. My aim is to make the audience wonder, after realising that this is a thought, whether this moment actually happened, or if it is just pure imagination. This builds mystery and keeps the audience engaged.
